Call For Papers

Postamble is a peer-reviewed online journal with a focus on the multidisciplinary study of Africa. We welcome submissions on a range of topics that demonstrate critical intellectual engagement with African issues and concerns.

Buoyed by discussions that have been circulating in African Studies and elsewhere in the Humanities, we invite submissions that engage critically with debates around transdisciplinarity and transformation and the Humanities, or else that practice/perform transdisciplinarity/transformation.

We want to stimulate modes of knowledge-production that challenge disciplinary boundaries. In addition, we want to investigate whether this challenge constitutes a transformation and, if so, what the consequences of that transformation might be.

We invite you to submit full academic papers, book reviews, interviews, photographic essays and other formats (scholarly or creative).
