The Shadow Economy, Tax Evasion and Fiscal Intermediaries
The 4th Shadow Conference takes place at the Tax Administration Research Centre 23-26 July 2015 Economists and other social scientists have shown increasing interest in analysing issues such as the shadow economy, tax evasion, money laundering, corruption, and related questions of fiscal intermediaries. A number of spectacular cases of tax fraud have recently demonstrated how fiscal intermediaries act as middlemen to re-cycle money earned in cash in the shadow economy back into the official economy. The 4th Shadow Conference aims at bringing together researchers working in this field to explore and discuss recent research developments. Keynote Presenters Keynote lectures will be given by Rob Axtell (George Mason University, Fairfax), Edgar L. Feige (University of Wisconsin, Madison) and Christopher Heady (University of Kent, Canterbury). Submission Submissions of abstracts (300 to 500 words) or full papers dealing with one of the conference topics, or with related issues such as corruption, social benefit fraud, and other illicit economic activities are welcome.
