Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
In the recent years, cloud computing has cultivated the outsourcing of computing resources like IT infrastructures, service platforms, and software. With the emergence of ultra-fast 4G mobile networks and highly-featured smartphones and tablets, the prerequisites are now met for bringing cloud computing to the mobile domain. While first commercial products are restricted to the sharing of files, contacts, and calendars among different devices, more sophisticated applications still have to be developed. Future applications of mobile cloud computing will have an impact on almost all activities of our social and business life, and include, but are not limited to, mobile marketing, social networks, smart cities, health care, and business processes.
IEEE MobileCloud 2014 will provide a great platform to allow researchers and professionals in the industry to exchange their latest research results and development activities on mobile cloud computing and services. The primary objective is to share research ideas and results, emerging industry technologies, and latest advances. The conference solicits original technical papers, not previously published and not currently under review for publication elsewhere. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: •Mobile cloud computing models, infrastructures, and approaches •Mobile cloud new service models and engineering approaches •Green computing in mobile cloud networking and computing •Resource and service management, provision, and migration •Transmission protocols and scheduling algorithms •Mobility modeling, management and measurement techniques •Mobile-aware cloud databases and data retrievals •Content/context-aware networking for mobile clouds •Mobile multimedia services, and mobile social community services •Location-based mobile cloud applications and service models •Mobile cloud middleware and open sources •Collaboration, management, and mobile cloud administration •Mobile cloud knowledge engineering and data mining techniques •Virtualization techniques for mobile cloud computing and services •Security and privacy enhancements for mobile cloud computing and networking •Mobile cloud malware detection and defensive mechanisms •Mobile cloud enabled Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) solutions •Personal cloud, ad hoc cloud, distributed cloud computing and service models •Mobile cloud sensing service and crowdsourcing •Mobile cloud E-business models, services, and applications •Mobile cloud enabled pervasive learning and education General Chairs Jerry Gao (San Jose State University, USA) Guido Wirtz (University of Bamberg, Germany) Hong Zhu (Oxford Brookers University, UK) Program Chairs Dijiang Huang (Arizona State University) Axel Küpper (TU Berlin/Telekom Innovation Laboratories) Hiroyuki Sato (University of Tokyo, Japan) Important Dates Abstract submission: October 15, 2013 Full paper submission: October 22, 2013 Review notification: December 31, 2013 Camera-ready submission and conference registration: January 15, 2014 Conference: April 8-11, 2014 Paper Submission The length of a camera-ready paper will be limited to 10 pages. All papers should be prepared using the IEEE format , please see this page. Each paper will be reviewed by at least three TPC members. Authors must submit their manuscripts using the EasyChair conference system using this link. Paper Publication All accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press (EI-Index) and included in IEEE Digital Library. For publication, each accepted paper is required to be registered at full rate by one of its authors and presented at IEEE MobileCloud 2014. Selected papers (updated version) will be published in journals, such as Journal of Internet Technology (SCIE indexed), Journal of Communications, International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (IJSEKE-SCI indexed), and International Journal of Handheld Computing Research. |
