Introduction
Malicious software, unsolicited electronic mail, abuse in on-line social networks, sensitive information leakage, all of them current problems within information security sharing a common key point: text. Despite the language differs, from binary to natural language, all these problems may be tackled by studying their source and nature. This special session focuses on the application of text classification techniques to deal with different threats in order to improve the security of information systems. Topics of Interest Topics of interest, but are not limited to: Text-based techniques for malicious software detection. Content filtering. Abuse prevention in on-line social networks.
