Modern Greek Queries
International Conference on Modern Greek Language, Literature, History and Civilization at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland), 16th-18th of April 2015

The faculty of Modern Greek Language and Literature, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary since its founding, is organizing an international scientific conference which aims to become a forum for discussion on Modern Greek Studies in Poland today.
The conference will be held from 16th to 18th of April 2015 at the School of Modern Languages and Literature of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland.

The main topics, around which the discussion will be held, are:
- Language,
- Literature,
- History,
- Civilization,
- Translation and Communication.

The conference is open to both thematic and interdisciplinary approaches.

The languages of the conference will be English, Greek and Polish.
Presentation slots should be no more than 20 minutes in length with 10 minutes for questions.

Abstract acceptance notification will be sent no later than 3 weeks from the date of submission.

Early bird registration deadline: 28th of February 2015. Registration fee €100 (400 PLN), amount payable till the 5th of April 2015.
Late bird registration deadline: 15th of March 2015. Registration fee €130 (520 PLN), amount payable till the 5th of April 2015.

Payments after the 5th of April 2015 will be €150 (600 PLN).

The conference fee includes:
- participation in all meetings,
- publication of papers (after positive reviews) in a collective volume in the series Miscellanea Novograeca Posnaniensia,
- coffee breaks,
- lunch on the 16th and 17th of April 2015,
- dinner on 16th of April 2015,
- an excursion to Poznan.

In case of cancellations the conference fee is not refunded.

Please note that there is no down payment by credit card.

Registration fee does not include travel expences or accommodation, but there is the possibility of accommodation at the University hotel or we can indicate you hotels in the city, both at affordable prices.
