========================================================================

Scope:

The LCI conference gathers experts to share management, administration, and scientific computing expertise and experiences on high performance clustered systems at all scales. This year the Conference will focus on the impact of multi-core technologies, including heterogeneous approaches using GPGPUs and Cells, on high end computing; and the power consumption and scaling challenges of
peta- and exa-scale computing. The technical program includes peer- reviewed papers and posters tracks, invited presentations, and technical briefs and presentations from vendors and practitioners showcasing the state of the art in the rapidly changing field of clustered computing.

The conference program committee solicits novel papers, technical presentations, tutorials, and posters on a broad range of topics related to the conference focus. Papers will be selected on the basis of an extended abstract of 5 to 8 pages. Exceptional papers and posters presented by a student and with a student lead author will be considered for best student paper and best student poster respectively, with travel awards. Tutorials can come from a variety of areas but should provide practical information and/or training for the clustered computing community. For detailed information on submitting papers, presentations, or tutorials, please see the conference web site.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

Multi-Core Processors
Acceleration Coprocessors
Development and Use of Highly Parallel Applications and Libraries Porting Experiences Visualization User Environments Performance Tools Performance Evaluation, Analysis, and Optimization Compilers Operating Systems Linux Kernel Modifications or Extensions Scheduling and Load Balancing Parallel I/O, File Systems, and Storage Networks, Interconnects, and Protocols Education Clusters in Data Centers New Experimental and Commercial Clusters Clusters in Heterogeneous HPC Environments Tools for Building and Administering Clusters Production Management of HPC Linux Clusters System Management and Administration Resource Management Security Middleware
