Call For Papers

We are very excited to invite you to contribute a chapter to a volume we are co-editing on “Why Change is the New Normal. Managing Transformational Shifts”. We plan to publish with Palgrave Macmillan in the UK; initial contacts with the commissioning editor have indicated a strong interest.

The compendium of writings is intended to shed light on business transformation. Our wish is to bring together international business practitioners, academics, and market researchers. We want to provide firms with a sound foundation for managing transformational shifts, and offer a comprehensive perspective of how to cope with change, both expected and unexpected.

The call for contribution available at http://www.globusresearch.com/download2/CfC_Managing-Transformational-Shifts.pdf provides more information.

If you are interested in this venture, as we hope you are, please take a note of the following:
• A structured abstract of not more than 250 words and your author biography should be sent to the editors by email (wcbr@whu.edu), preferably by April 15, 2015.
• Prospective authors are encouraged to write a chapter specifically for the volume. However, it is also possible to draw on already published work, adapting this to address the volume theme. Copyright clearance for work that has already been published is entirely the responsibility of the contributing authors.
• Your complete chapter is to reach the editors by July 31, 2015. The call for contribution document contains a style sheet and a template for your convenience.
• Chapters need to be written in (American) English and should be between 3,000 to 10,000 words in length (all inclusive).

This project is supported by the Wipro Center for Business Resilience at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. The editors are:
• Horst Ellermann is the Editor in Chief of the CIO Magazine in Germany, and moderator of the Hamburger Strategietage.
• Dr. Peter Kreutter is Director of the WHU Foundation, Managing Director of the Wipro Center for Business Resilience at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, and a member of the board of trustees of the CIO Foundation.
• Ulrich Meister is Senior Vice President for Continental Europe & Africa at Wipro Technologies.
• Dr. Wolfgang Messner is Associate Professor of International Management at MYRA School of Business in India, Adjunct Faculty at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, and Director of GloBus Research.

We do hope you will feel able to respond positively to this invitation, and we look forward to hearing from you. Please use our central email wcbr@whu.edu for all communication.
