Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The objective of the First International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery and Cloud Computing Applications (KDCloudApps 2015) is to provide a forum to exchange and discuss recent advances, results, experiences and lessons learned from the development of applications that apply tools, techniques, methods, and models supported by Knowledge Discovery (KD) and Cloud Computing (CC) technologies. Additionally, KDCloudApps also provides a forum to discuss how KD and CC technologies interact in order to provide more scalable and flexible intelligent information systems.
KDCloudApps 2015 will be held at the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI), Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV). SCOPE The topics of interest for KDCloudApps 2015 workshop are related with applications that incorporate current advances of: natural language processing techniques for knowledge discovery, sentiment analysis, opinion mining, social network analysis, news mining, semantic enrichment, semantic Web, cloud resource monitoring, cloud computing, ontologies to support knowledge discovery, reasoning on ontologies for knowledge discovery, service-oriented applications, ambient intelligence, pervasive systems and ubiquitous computing. The central themes of this conference incorporate current innovations and advances in the areas of: artificial intelligence, natural language processing, soft computing, databases, information retrieval, social networks, distributed computing, Web engineering, among others. WORKSHOP TOPICS OF INTEREST The organizers of KDCloudApps 2015 cordially invite researchers, graduate students, professionals and entrepreneurs to participate submitting research papers related with one or more of the themes proposed for the Workshop: Advances in cloud computing applications Cloud computing and the Semantic Web Cloud Computing for Vehicle Tracking Systems Cloud resource allocation Cloud resource monitoring Context-oriented Information Integration Context-oriented Information Retrieval Databases and information retrieval applications Human-Computer semantic interaction Linked data management Linked open data Natural language processing applications Ontology-based information systems Ontological engineering Ontology learning applications Personalized data access on the semantic web Persuasive systems Pervasive systems Reasoning and inference mechanisms applications Recovering and indexing content using a semantic approach Search and query Methods for Semantic Web applications Semantic Content Personalization and Adaptation Semantic integration of data, multimedia and services Semantic Web Services Semantic Web user interfaces Sentiment analysis Service-oriented applications Service-oriented driver assistance Social collaboration platforms and semantic web Social web applications Ubiquitous and mobile information systems Vehicular tracking networks PAPER SUBMMISSION Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research and application papers that are not being considered in another forum. All submitted papers will be peer review by at least three members of the technical committee, and carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, clarity and scientific-technical rigor reported. Manuscripts will be limited to 5 two-column pages (Conference Publishing Services (CPS) style) including figures and references. Please follow the Conference Publishing Services (CPS) Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers. The guidelines for authors can be found at Conference Publishing Services (CPS). Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF, postscript, or word format) is required. Submissions not conforming to the CPS format or being obviously out of the scope of the workshop will be rejected without review. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present the paper. IMPORTANT DATES Submission of Full Papers: April 15th, 2015 Notification of Acceptance: May 15th, 2015 Camera-ready Copies and Registration of Participation: May 25th, 2015 Workshop: between September 1-4, 2015 in Valencia, Spain PUBLICATION Accepted Papers will be published in the DEXA Workshops Proceedings 2015 by Conference Publishing Services (CPS). An extended version of selected accepted papers will be published in a special issue of the Komputer Sapiens magazine, which is indexed by CONACYT, the Mexican Council of Science and Technology.
