SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
The track on Parallel Computations for Neural Networks provides an international forum for reporting progress and recent advances in parallel computing techniques, hardware and software tools for speeding-up functioning and training of traditional and bio-inspired neural network models on the modern high-performance computing systems. The PCNN Workshop topics include (but are not limited to) the following: - Specialized computing hardware, transputers and FPGA-implementations for neural networks - Parallel training algorithms for feed-forward, recurrent, RBF, recirculation and other neural networks - Parallel supervised and unsupervised training and reinforcement learning algorithms - Parallelization of neural network algorithms on many-core systems, clusters, grids and clouds - GPU-based implementations of neural networks - Coarse-grain parallelization of neural networks - Parallel training algorithms for deep-belief networks - Parallelization of cognitive neural models - Parallel implementations and training algorithms for spiking neural networks - Grid-based frameworks for neural networks execution and parallelization - Modeling of large-scale neural models using parallel computing techniques - Neural simulators in neuroscience using parallel computing - Computational neuroscience using parallel architectures - Neural network simulation tools and libraries using parallel computing - High-performance machine intelligence INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SUBMISSIONS You are invited to submit original and unpublished research works on above and other topics related to Parallel Computations for Neural Networks. Submitted papers must not have been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. For Regular papers, please submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript, not to exceed 8 double-column IEEE formatted pages, and include up to 6 keywords and an abstract of no more than 400 words. Additional pages will be charged additional fee. Submission should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, and all authors email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the corresponding author(s). Short papers (up to 4 pages), poster papers and poster (please refer to http://hpcs2014.cisedu.info/home/posters for posters submission details) will also be accepted. Please specify the type of submission you have. Please include page numbers on all preliminary submissions to make it easier for reviewers to provide helpful comments. Submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript using the Workshop Easy Chair link at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pcnn14. Submissions will be acknowledged within 48 hours. Proceedings Accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings. Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be posted on the HPCS 2014 Conference web site. It is our intent to have the proceedings formally published in hard and soft copies and be available at the time of the conference. The proceedings is projected to be included in the IEEE Digital Library and indexed in all major indexing services accordingly.
