Special Issue on 3D Data Security and Forensics
Given their immediate practical applications in, for example, copyright management, authentication and digital forensics, information hiding algorithms, which embed a watermark into a host signal, have been developed over the past few years for various types of objects, including digital image, text document, audio and video. However, the research into the information embedding of 3D models has received relatively less attention, despite their widespread use in a wide variety of applications. The goal of this special issue is to provide the readers of the International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics (IJDCF) with an overview of the most recent developments and the current state of the art of 3D watermarking and security techniques. We welcome original research papers, review articles and brief communications on topics that include, but are not limited to: ● 3D watermarking and security ● 3D steganography and steganalysis ● Theoretical aspects of information hiding and detection ● Applications of information hiding ● Integrity verification of digital content ● Digital forensics ● Biometrics and their applications ● Robust/perceptual hashing for multimedia identification Important Dates: Manuscript submission: June 15, 2015 Acceptance notification: September 15, 2015 Final manuscripts: October 31, 2015 Publication: December, 2015 Submission: Prospective authors should submit their manuscripts online via E-Editorial Discovery following the IJDCF Submission Guidelines (http://www.igi-global.com/journal/international-journal-digital-crime-forensics/1112). On the first page of the manuscript, the author(s) should clearly indicate that the submission is for the Special Issue on 3D Data Security and Forensics. All submissions will be peer reviewed.
