The annual ICDE conference addresses research issues in designing, building, managing, and evaluating advanced data-intensive systems and applications. It is a leading forum for researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences.
The 31st ICDE will be held in Seoul, Korea, April 13-16, 2015. Seoul is the capital city of Korea. The conference will be held at the COEX Convention Center in Gangnam. More information is available at: http://www.icde2015.kr/ We invite the submission of original research contributions in the following areas but at the same time welcome any original contributions that may cross the boundaries among areas or point in other novel directions: Cloud Computing and Database-as-a-Service Big Data and Data-Warehousing System Architectures Data Integration, Metadata Management, and Interoperability Modern Hardware and In-Memory Database Architecture and Systems Privacy, Security, and Trust Query Processing, Indexing, and Optimization Social Networks, Social Web, Graph, and Personal Information Management Crowdsourcing, Distributed, and P2P Data Management Streams and Sensor Networks High Performance Transaction Management Temporal, Spatial, Mobile, and Multimedia Data Strings, Texts, and Keyword Search Semi-structured, Web, and Linked Data Management Uncertain and Probabilistic Data Visual Data Analytics, Data Mining, and Knowledge Discovery IMPORTANT DATES (RESEARCH PAPERS) Abstract submission: 17:00 PDT July 29, 2014 Full paper submission: 17:00 PDT August 5, 2014 Notification: October 17, 2014 Camera-ready version: November 28, 2014 Conference: April 13-April 16, 2015 HONORARY GENERAL CHAIR Kyu-Young Whang (KAIST) GENERAL CHAIRS Sang Kyun Cha (Seoul National University & SAP Labs Korea) Guy Lohman (IBM Almaden Research) PC CO-CHAIRS Johannes Gehrke (Cornell University) Wolfgang Lehner (TU Dresden) Kyuseok Shim (Seoul National University) AREA CHAIRS Cloud Computing and Database-as-a-Service Ken Salem (University of Waterloo) Big Data and Data-Warehousing System Architectures Mirek Riedewald (Northeastern University) Data Integration, Metadata Management, and Interoperability Melanie Herschel (Universite Paris-Sud 11) Modern Hardware and In-Memory Database Architecture and Systems Thomas Neumann (TU Munich) Privacy, Security, and Trust Xiaokui Xiao (Nanyang Technological University) Query Processing, Indexing, and Optimization Guido Moerkotte (University of Mannheim) Social Networks, Social Web, Graph, and Personal Information Management Evimaria Terzi (Boston University) Crowdsourcing, Distributed, and P2P Data Management Mohammend Mokbel (University of Minnesota - Twin Cities) Streams and Sensor Networks Jonathan Goldstein (Microsoft Research) High Performance Transaction Management Brian Cooper (Google) Temporal, Spatial, Mobile, and Multimedia Data Christian S. A paper submitted to ICDE 2015 cannot be under review for any other conference or journal during the entire time it is considered for ICDE 2015, and it must be substantially different from any previously published work. Submissions are reviewed in a single-blind manner. All submissions must be prepared in the IEEE format: For LaTeX users, download this template. For Word users, download this template. Submissions are only accepted in PDF format and have to be submitted via the CMT system at https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ICDE2015. Authors of research papers will have an opportunity to give concise feedback on preliminary reviews within a one-week time. All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings. The online proceedings may be published as early as February 1, 2015. Accepted papers will be 12 pages long. The best papers will be selected for extended versions to be published in the IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if none of the authors attends the conference to present their paper. |
