C4 2015 : The Connect, Create, and Collaborate Conference | |||||||||||||||||
| |||||||||||||||||
Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
The purpose of C4 is to more affordably help you do three things: Connect, Create, and Collaborate.
CONNECT – Connecting with other professionals is a key to being successful and is a benefit of attending a conference. However, unless a conference is taking place near by, it can be expensive to attend. On top of the registration fee, it can easily cost hundreds of dollars for travel and hotel just to be there to attend. Particularly for new Independent Developers, that money could be better spent on a development budget that isn't big to begin with. The Solution? If it is too expensive for a developer to attend the conference, then bring the conference to the developer online. CREATE – Creating is what making games is all about. Developers should be able to make games that players can enjoy and appreciate, even if they don’t have the development budget of a large Studio. Come learn from other developers, about how they overcame the obstacles they faced and are facing. Share stories of successes and failures, and why they happened. COLLABORATE – Half the fun of making a game is working together with others that enjoy developing games as much as you do. Have an idea and some of the means, but can’t make it alone? Looking for some like-minded individuals to work with? Let us help you find them! TOPICS This Conference seeks contributions from developers great and small, to address the following topics: - The business of making games. - Game Design - Project Postmortems - Game Development War Stories In addition to these topics, if you have an industry-related topic that you feel the professional community needs to hear, please submit it.
