Call For Papers

During the time interval of emerging ubiquitous computing [2000-now], many computing paradigms have emerged such as grid computing, cloud computing, mobile computing, pen computing, social computing, crowd computing, Internet of things, etc. Some of these paradigms have waned (e.g. pen and grid computing), and some have similarities and mutual trends. For example, although cloud computing is regarded as the realization of distributed computing, it pursues ubiquitous provisioning of services to the users in an anywhere/anytime manner, which is also the main goal of ubiquitous computing.

Working on the emerged computing paradigms to introduce a comprehensive computing model that perfectly adapts to the future of technology is an essential and fundamental research direction. This computing model, as the fourth generation of computing, will shape the future of research in the science of computation.

The necessity of introduction of the fourth generation computing model has emerged recently, and the window of opportunity is open now. In this regard, this workshop intends to provide the opportunity for researchers and product developers to review and discuss the requirements, state-of-the-art and trends of new computing models. We strongly encourage researchers to submit their papers to this special issue. Papers on theoretical, practical, and methodological issues in this subject are welcome. Given that ubiquitous (pervasive) computing has found applications in many domains such as transportation, tourism, healthcare, social networks, fitness, etc., focusing on any of these domains is another interesting trend of the workshop.

We invite authors to submit their original papers describing future-trend research in all aspects of mobile, ubiquitous and cloud computing as well as next computing models. Topics of interest are included but not limited to:

- Future generation of Ubiquitous computing
- Future generation of Cloud computing
- Middleware for next generation computing models
- Operating system support for next generation computing models
- Common trends of ubiquitous and cloud, and other computing models
- Mobile cloud computing
