Cognitive Infocommunications (CogInfoCom) is a new interdisciplinary field of science which investigates the link between the research areas of infocommunications and cognitive sciences, as well as the various engineering applications which have emerged as the synergic combination of these sciences. The primary goal of CogInfoCom is to provide a systematic view of how cognitive processes can co-evolve with infocommunications devices so that the capabilities of the human brain may not only be extended through these devices, irrespective of geographical distance, but may also interact with the capabilities of any artificially cognitive system. This merging and extension of cognitive capabilities is targeted towards engineering applications in which artificial and/or natural cognitive systems are enabled to work together more effectively. For further information on this new field, please visit the home-site at www.coginfocom.hu
The conference is open for topic proposals that cover the definition of cognitive infocommunications. These are the main topics of the conference while it is open for further proposals as well: - Socio-cognitive ICT - Embodied and enactive cognitive systems - Cognitive biases in CogInfoCom - Cognitive control - Industrial applications of CogInfoCom - Ergonomics-based aspects of CogInfoCom - CogInfoCom channels - Human-car interactions - Intelligent car informatics - Cognitive networks of cars - Speechability - Ethology-inspired engineering / Etho-robotics - Mathability - Cognitive informatics and media - Future Internet - Infocommunication-related aspects of the cognitive sciences - Intelligent vehicle and transportation systems - Avatar ergonomics - Interaction capabilities of CogInfoCom systems (BCI, BAN, human-and-"X" interaction, augmented content management and cognition, 3D visualization, immersive augmented/virtual interaction, virtual avatars) Submission of papers Authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and developments. All papers will be peer reviewed by two experts and accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings. Papers must be submitted electronically via IEEE CogInfoCom 2015 EasyChair paper management portal in IEEE format (double column A/4, 4-6 pages long). Just like in case of past IEEE CogInfoCom Conferences, publications of the Conference will be uploaded to the IEEE Xplore database upon consent of IEEE (in process). We reserve the right to exclude any paper from the final proceedings (as well as any official database), if it is not presented at the conference. For more information on submissions and formatting please visit http://coginfocom.hu/conference/CogInfoCom15/scipapers.html.
