ACM/IEEE 18th International Conference on
Model Driven Engineering Languages and Systems First Call for Demonstrations and Posters Models is the premier conference series for model-based software and systems engineering. Model-driven engineering (MDE) and modeling in general has matured substantially over the past decade and is increasingly finding its way into industrial practice. As a consequence, it is now more important than ever to demonstrate the value of modeling and MDE through research prototypes and tools covering a broad variety of modeling-related activities. This year, MODELS conference will feature a track combining both demonstrations and posters. We solicit high-quality submissions for this track, ranging across commercial, academic, and corporate research and industrial systems. In addition to academic submissions, we are also interested in innovative uses of existing tools and ideas from the practice. Selections will be based on technical and intellectual merit, novelty, and relevance to the MODELS community. Demonstration and poster presenters will be encouraged to participate in a "demo and poster madness" session at the beginning of the conference where they will be given two minutes to promote their demonstration and poster to all MODELS attendants. We encourage submission of demonstrations and posters to accompany papers submitted to or accepted into the main conference program. However, we also strongly encourage demonstration and Poster submissions that describe novel work that may not be presented at other sessions of MODELS 2015. Demonstration submissions can also be accompanied by posters that will be displayed during the conference. =============== Important Dates =============== • Demonstrations and Posters proposal submission: July 31st, 2015 "Anywhere on Earth", i.e., UTC-12. • Notification: August 20th, 2015. • Poster and Demonstration presentation dates: September 30 - Oct 2, 2015 (Wednesday to Friday). Demonstrations and Posters Proposal Guidelines A poster and demo proposal must include the following information: • Title • Author(s) and affiliation(s) • Motivation and goals • Background information, if needed to understand the work • Adequate detail on the proposed approach, results, and contributions • Related work • Links to additional information (e.g., project website, contact information, citations to publications, other MODELS activities that will also present the work) • (Optional) A link to a YouTube video (between three to five minutes long) giving a concise version of the demonstration or poster. This part of the submission will be used to judge feasibility of presentation. The link should be provided in the abstract of the submitted PDF, and should also be provided in the abstract metadata within EasyChair. The article from ACM Crossroads (available at http://xrds.acm.org/article.cfm?aid=332138 ) provides excellent tips on how to prepare successful posters. ============ Submissions ============ Please ensure that you adhere to the above proposal guidelines providing all requested information using at most four (4) pages. The submission must adhere to the IEEE formatting instructions: • LaTeX users: please use the LaTeX class file IEEEtran v1.8 with the following configuration (without option 'compsoc' or 'compsocconf'):?\documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran} • Word users: please use this Word template (see also the corresponding PDF file) Please submit your proposal electronically in PDF at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pd-models2015? ============ Proceedings =========== Accepted submissions will be will be published on CEUR. Details will be communicated to the authors of accepted proposals at the time of notification.
