Call For Papers

At CF2015 authors of papers selected for the conference were invited additionally to submit a position paper concerning Beyond Cloud Computing also known as Complete Computing . These papers were the basis for (a) a summary paper included in the proceedings edited by the programme co-chairs; (b) discussions in the conference panel session on the roadmap; (c) the roadmap document to the European Commission from the HOLA Cloud project for use in the development of the work programme.

For CF2016 we wish to extend the community participation so we are issuing a call for position papers to all at an earlier stage in the conference preparation.

Format

The position papers should be 2-4 pages including any references. Paper submissions should be formatted according to the Elsevier Procedia Computer Science series proceedings (guidelines and templates – including LaTex -are available). The abstract should just contain ‘Position Paper’.

Submission

The position papers should be submitted to Easychair https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cf2016 with the ABSTRACT box saying ‘POSITION PAPER’ (to differentiate from the regular papers). Then the paper should be uploaded in the normal way.

Reviewing

Each paper and poster must be original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers will be reviewed by at least three experts in the relevant field ensuring the publication of only top quality contributions. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present orally the paper in the conference.

Publication

The outcomes of the position papers and discussion at the conference will be published as a paper co-edited by the co-chairs and appearing in the CF2016 proceedings with acknowledgement to authors of the selected position papers. We can now announce that Elsevier has accepted to publish the selected position papers in the proceedings together with the selected scientific papers.
