***Call for Papers***

Introduction:
The ongoing rapid growth of online data due to the Internet and the widespread use of databases have created an immense need for ultra-advance methodologies. The challenge of extracting knowledge from data draws upon research in statistics, databases, pattern recognition, machine learning, data visualization, optimization, and high-performance computing, to deliver advanced business intelligence and web discovery solutions. With the explosive growth of online data, data-based solutions are increasingly crucial. Accordingly, methodological development for business intelligence, as well as IT-system and business process monitoring, has become a focal point of statistics and KDD research. In these areas, monitoring data that has been collected over time is used to make processes more efficient, effective, predictable, and profitable. Challenging aspects include handling large time-dependent data with varied characteristics, producing accurate and practical forecasting methods, and developing analytics relevant for business decision-making. These challenges may not be handled by ongoing traditional logics. It needs special attention in the development of intelligent automated systems that can be an effective problem solving tool. Thus for efficient knowledge discovery from raw data expert systems are perceived as a guiding force to reckon with.

Objective:
The spectrum of applications of expert systems technology to industrial and commercial problems is so wide as to defy easy characterization. The applications find their way into most areas of knowledge work. Our objective is to exchange information relating to expert and intelligent systems applied in industry, government, and universities worldwide. The journal is willing to publish papers in intelligent systems technology and its application in a wide range of areas which include finance, accounting, engineering, marketing, auditing, law, procurement and contracting, project management, risk assessment, information management, information retrieval, crisis management, stock trading, strategic management, network management, telecommunications, space education, intelligent front ends, intelligent database management systems, bio-informatics, chemistry, human resources management. Papers in multi-agent systems, knowledge management, neural networks, web mining, data and text mining, multimedia mining, and genetic algorithms will also be published in the journal.
