The first International Workshop on
Cloud Connected Health (CCH) in association with The First IEEE Conference on Connected Health: Applications, Systems and Engineering Technologies Washington D.C., June 27-29, 2016 Scope ehealth is among the hot research topics that have attracted several research groups. The deployment of ICT in health systems is based on the infrastructure of existing communication and networking systems, hence, resulting in ICT based connected health. Cloud computing and BigData has emerged recently as a new paradigms that moved enterprise computing from the classical host-based architecture pattern into the elastic computing pattern. The use of cloud computing and BigData in health has been very prominent recently, as several features in the cloud are being used to deploy health related applications. For instance, health monitoring, health data storage, health data collection, mobile health, pervasive health, Healthcare monitoring, telemedicine, context-aware computing, ubiquitous computing, Internet of Things (IoT), processing health data in the cloud, securing health data in the cloud, are areas of interest that are being addressed using cloud computing techniques. On the other hand, several challenging issues have raised due to this. This include the quality of health data, the ability to retrieve information and use it in health context, privacy and security issues of health data while being processed in the cloud, availability of health data, models of context and tele-monitoring of contextual applications. This workshop solicits unpublished research work related to the latest challenges, technologies, solutions and techniques pertaining to connected health within the cloud datacenter and to the efficient and efficient cloud solution and hosting of the various emerging applications and services in health domain such as pervasive, health, mobile health, electronic health records, BigData health applications, health networking, and health connectivity within cloud systems. The workshop will bring together researchers from academia, industry and government in order to present the state of the art in the emerging area of the use of cloud systems in connected health infrastructure and applications. Topics Topics of the track consist of all aspects related to eHealth Information Security. They include but are not limited to: • Connected health integration with cloud. • Virtual private cloud in eHealth. • Cloud services for connected health. • Health as a service (HaaS). • Privacy issues in cloud based connected health. • Security access policies in cloud based connected health. • Testing and validation of cloud based connected health technologies. • Cloud based health resources management. • Health monitoring using the cloud. • Health data processing in the cloud. • Middleware of mobile applications. • Architecture of Cloud computing and BigData applications for Healthcare. • Adaptation of Cloud computing Healthcare. • Prediction systems in Cloud computing Healthcare. • Surveys and state of the art reports in the area. Submission Instructions Submitted papers must be neither previously published nor under review by another workshop, conference or journal. Only electronic submissions in PDF will be accepted. Submitted regular papers must be written in English, must be no longer than 12 pages in 10-point font, must render without error using standard PDF viewing tools, must print on US-Letter-sized paper, and must include the author names and affiliations in the first page.
