Call For Papers

We would like to invite you to submit and participate to the special session on

Imperfect databases

which will be held on IPMU 2016 Conference (Eindhoven, The Netherlands, June 20-24), http://is.ieis.tue.nl/ipmu/prog.htm#special.

Short description:

Data are often infected with imperfection; it can be imprecision, uncertainty or incompleteness. When imperfection in databases is ignored, decision-making is not efficient. That is why managing imperfect data, as captured with no truncates, produces more efficient decisions and knowledge. In this special issue, we are interested in all researches that cope with the field of imperfect databases. Authors are invited to submit works on modeling, managing and mining data where imperfection is modeled with theories of uncertainty such as probability, possibility, fuzzy sets, belief function theory, etc...

Important dates

Submission deadline: January 8
Notification of acceptance: March 1
Conference: June 20-24

Submissions

The proceedings of IPMU-2016 will be published in Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) with Springer. Papers can be up to 12 pages long following the formatting instructions of the conference (see http://is.ieis.tue.nl/ipmu/authors.htm#instructions ).
