Legged Locomotion Robots
Special Session on ROBOT’2017 - Third Iberian Robotics Conference
https://grvc.us.es/robot2017/

November 22-24, 2017
Sevilla, Spain
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*IMPORTANT DATES*
Paper Submission: June 30, 2017
Notification: July 24, 2017
Camera Ready: September 7, 2017

*OBJECTIVES AND TOPICS*
In recent years significant advances have been made in creating bio-inspired machines. Scientists and engineers use human and animal characteristics to achieve these goals, as even the most advanced robots are much inferior to their biological counterparts. Human and animal locomotion is much more versatile, efficient and elegant and, therefore, it is reasonable to consider studying biological systems in order to apply their schemes in the design and control of legged robots.
Bearing in mind these ideas, the purpose of this Special Session is to join together engineers, roboticists, researchers, and students to present and discuss new developments and innovative projects that are relevant to the session topics of legged locomotion robots.

*SUBMISSION*
Authors are invited to submit their work to this Special Session following the guidelines of Springer AISC template (http://www.springer.com/series/11156) up to a maximum of 12 pages through the EasyChair interface (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=robot2017).

*TRACK CHAIRS*
- Manuel Silva, ISEP-PPorto - School of Engineering, Porto Polytechnic and INESC TEC - INESC Technology and Science
- Cristina Santos, Industrial Electronics Department and Centro ALGORTIMI, University of Minho
