The Young Statisticians Meeting (YSM) is a conference held annually for statisticians within the first 10 years of their career. The purpose of YSM is to foster relationships between young statisticians across all different areas of statistics, government, industry and academia. We aim to offer a supportive atmosphere for young statisticians to present their work and get advice from people working in different sectors. There is a strong social aspect to the conference, allowing people to develop friendships and possible collaborations with people working in other sectors. We are passionate about encouraging a community atmosphere across all different domains with the aim of fostering lasting relationships within the statistical community.
In addition to the sessions allowing you to opportunity to present your work either verbally or with a poster, this year we are happy to announce a session aimed at undergraduate students in statistics. This session will allow undergraduates to present anything they have been working on, or any of their interest within statistics.
Other highlights of this conference will include: a panel discussion with the plenary speakers on the future challenges in statistics, a conference dinner on the Thames and a drinks reception with an opportunity to discuss with our sponsors.
