It is an excellent occasion for Ph.D. students to present their work in progress or preliminary results, and receive feedback from other researchers and for industry to see academic work in progress. PhD Forum authors are invited to submit a 2-page paper using the format of HEART 2016 regular papers. PhD Forum papers should include clear descriptions of thesis motivation, objectives, problem definition, addressed solutions, current status, and planned work. Contributions based on preliminary results or on work in progress are particularly encouraged. Accepted PhD Forum papers will be included in the USB proceedings and presented at a special poster session with a best poster award. ============= CALL FOR ENTRIES to HEART 2016 DESIGN COMPETITION HEART 2016 will follow the tradition of previous HEART symposiums of having an FPGA design competition associated with the conference. This year, we have for the design competition the New Zealand game, TRAX. TRAX is a two player abstract strategy game of loops and lines. It can be played on any flat surface (no board) using identical square tiles with straights on one side and curves on the other side. Submission deadline:17 Jun 2016 For further information, please refer to the official website at: http://heart2016.eee.hku.hk/dc2016.html ============= Post-symposium Workshop: ARM University Program Workshop - SoC Design using Cortex-M0 Processor Date: 28th July 2016 Time: 9:30am - 5:00pm Venue: City University of Hong Kong http://heart2016.eee.hku.hk/workshop.html ============= Invited Keynote: “Is Anybody Out There?
