The Texas Desalination Association is pleased to invite submissions for its 4th annual conference, Texas Desal 2016. To be considered as a presenter/speaker, please submit a one-page abstract by March 31 to conference@texasdesal.org. All abstracts will be reviewed for content and relevance to the conference theme and topics below.
TOPICS MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Desalination and regional water planning - Public-private partnerships, case studies, ROI, finding partners, etc. - Funding opportunities -- from SWIFT to the White House - Seawater desalination for Texas - Case studies in Texas: focus on small and medium plants - Cost of desalination from development to operations - Lessons learned and/or problems solved - Groundwater permitting and regulation in Texas - Desal trends in the US and abroad - New markets for desalination in Texas - Desalination for the oil and gas industry - Emerging technologies and research findings - Desalination and renewable energy - Brine and concentrate disposal - Advances in energy efficiency - Environmental considerations - Building your water portfolio - Accessing Texas' brackish groundwater Submit abstracts and questions to conference@texasdesal.org. Please limit your abstract to one page and include the title and author name(s). Authors of selected abstracts will be contacted by May 2, and will be asked to submit PowerPoint presentations by September 9. |
