The Student Colloquium (SQ) of SUMMERSIM 2019 brings together graduate students in both early and advanced stages of their careers in a friendly forum to present and discuss their ongoing M&S research in a constructive and enjoyable atmosphere.
This track is a great opportunity to connect with fellow M&S researchers, get feedback from experts in the field, establish relationships for future collaborations, and think of new ideas and strategies for approaching your research.
Students are invited to submit a 2-page extended abstract describing their research work, which can be in the proposal stage or early/middle stages of development. Students can openly share the challenges they are facing in their research, rather than communicate the results of completed research. The extended abstract should describe the student's research (with or without results), with an emphasis on the motivation for the work and M&S relevance of the problems being addressed.
