21st International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power(ICHQP 2024)
October 15 to 18, 2024 | Chengdu, China https://www.ichqp2024.org/ ICHQP is one of the premier international conferences in the field of electrical power engineering and the only IEEE PES conference dedicated to the area of power quality. The conference presents academic and industrial work of technical excellence at the forefront of power quality research and practical developments. The 21 st ICHQP will continue this tradition, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals from academia and industry working in the area of power quality to come together to share and exchange ideas. The 21st ICHQP will be held in the beautiful city,“the land of abundance”, Chengdu(China) from October 15 to 18, 2024. The conference is hosted by Sichuan University, technically sponsored by the IEEE Power and Energy Society, supported by Southwest Jiaotong University, Chongqing University, Asian Power Quality Industry Alliance, State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and Sichuan Society for Electrical Engineering. ●Speakers Prof. Wilsun Xu Fellow, IEEE University of Alberta, Canada Wilsun Xu (Fellow, IEEE) is a professor at the University of Alberta, Canada. He obtained PhD from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 1989 and worked in BC Hydro of Vancouver, Canada for 7 years before joining the University in 1996. Dr. Xu has been conducting power quality research, education, and consulting for over 30 years, especially in the field of power system harmonics. He was elevated to IEEE fellow for contributions to power system harmonics research in 2005 and served as the Power Quality Industrial Research Chair of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada from 2007 to 2020. In recent years, Dr. Xu pioneered the research on power disturbance data analytics, a field that uses power quality disturbance data to support equipment and system condition monitoring. Prof. Dario Zaninelli Senior Member, IEEE Politecnico di Milano, Italy Dario Zaninelli (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Politecnico di Milano, in 1989. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano. His research interests include power system harmonics and power system analysis. He is a member of AEI and the Italian National Research Council Group of Electrical Power System. Prof. Xiao-Ping Zhang IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow University of Birmingham, UK Xiao-Ping Zhang (Fellow, IEEE) is a Professor of Electrical Power Systems, Director of Smart Grid, Birmingham Energy Institute, and Co-Director of Birmingham Energy Storage Centre sponsored by the UK EPSRC, and Head of the Electrical Power & Control Systems Group. Xiao-Ping has published over 160 research papers in scientific journals, conference proceedings as well as reviews, 5 books and book chapters in the fields of Energy Union, Global Power & Energy Internet, Super Power Grids, Smart Grids, modelling and control of FACTS and HVDC, renewable generation (wind and wave) control, integration of PHEVs into power grids, energy markets & game theory applications, smart metering, distributed energy management and services for homes and buildings and wide area grid awareness. Prof. Yi Zhang Ph.D., P. Eng., FCAE, FIEEE, FEIC Vice President R&D and Chief Technology Officer RTDS Technologies Inc., Canada Yi Zhang (Fellow, IEEE) joined RTDS Technologies Inc. in 2000, where he now serves as Vice-President R&D and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He has over 30 years of experience working in power system simulation and analysis. His expertise includes Real Time EMT Simulation, Voltage Stability and HVDC, etc. As a principal member of the RTDS development team, he developed many simulation models and algorithms on RTDS Real Time Simulator in the past 24 years. He pioneered in using real time simulators for large power system study. Dr. Zhang is a Fellow of IEEE, a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering and a registered professional engineer in the province of Manitoba. Prof. Ying Wang Senior Member, IEEE Sichuan University, China Ying Wang (Senior Member, IEEE) is a professor in the Sichuan University, China. She obtained PhD from the Sichuan University, in 2014. Dr. Wang has working on the field of power quality and premium power, for over 20 years, especially in the field of voltage sag.
