[extended paper submission deadline]
Dear Colleagues, We invite you to submit a paper to the upcoming 23rd SPA Conference that will be held at the Poznan University of Technology on September 18-20th, 2019. The Conference is organized by two Polish IEEE Chapters, namely Signal Processing Chapter and Circuits and Systems Chapter and will cover issues on digital signal processing and electronic systems. Topics of interest; DSP theory and applications: -DSP theory, algorithms, and implementations -Filter design and realization -DSP applications of artificial intelligence Image and video: -Image and video processing -Image synthesis, analysis, and recognition -Digital television, CCTV, and stereovision Bioinformatics: -Multimedia (vision and audio) systems in medicine -Biometrics -Biomedical applications and assistive technologies Audio: -Audio processing -Electroacoustics -Psychoacoustics -Sound mastering -Text-to-speech & speech-to-text conversion Human-computer interfaces: -Multimedia data compression, editing, and data bases -Virtual and augmented reality -Distributed and networked DSP systems -Mobile platform applications -Industrial signal processing applications. Guest speakers: Many distinguished scientists and experts are guests and participants of the IEEE SPA Conferences. Among them in 2016, 2017 and 2018 were: Professor Bart M. ter Haar Romeny (Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands), professor in Biomedical Image Analysis, president of the Dutch Society for Pattern Recognition and Image Processing, Professor Kamisetty Ramamohan Rao (University of Texas, Arlington, USA), professor of electrical engineering, the co-inventor of the discrete cosine transform, Professor Brian C. J. Moore (Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Cambridge, England) the Doctor Honoris Causa of the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland, Professor Joos Vandewalle (Electrical Engineering Department, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), President of the Royal Academies for Science and the Arts of Belgium (RASAB), Professor Pawel Strumillo (Lodz University of Technology, Poland), Professor Joerg Luecke (Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany), Professor Heinrich Theodor Vierhaus (Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany), Professor Petr Pfeifer (Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany), Professor Andrzej Dobrucki (Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland), Professor Stefan Brachmanski (Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland), and Professor Boguslaw Cyganek (AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland). Publications: The accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (in both printed and electronic forms). The conference proceedings will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore® digital library (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/conhome.jsp?punumber=1800373). Since 2009 SPA Conferences are present in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index of the Thomson Reuters Web of Science. Thus we can expect the same with the present SPA conference. The highest quality papers will be selected by the Scientific Committee and after widening, completion, and updating their contents they will be recommended for publication in such scientific journals as: Multimedia Tools and Applications, Electrical Review, Computational Methods in Science and Technology, Foundations of Computing and Decision Sciences, and Electronics - Constructions, Technologies, Applications.
