Logistics Management 2011

The 2011. Logistics Management Conference will take place from September 28 to 30. The conference is being held by the Wissenschaftliche Kommission Logistik, part of the Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB: German Academic Association for Business Research), at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg.

It is precisely in difficult economic times that businesses and supply chains need to make sure they remain fit for the future. This is done by confronting the challenges of logistics and supply chain management, identifying the resulting opportunities and presenting specific solutions. The 2011 Logistics Management Conference aims to contribute to thls process.

The 2011 Logistics Management Conference offers a forum for presenting and discussing the current state of research in business logistics and supply chain management. A further goal of the conference is to intensify the dialog between academics and practitioners.

Academic papers on the topic of "Challenges, oppertunities and solutions" may be submitted for the tracks listed below.

Submission forms

Papers may be submitted es a Regular Paper or a Competitive Paper. Contributions by practitionars or academics are equally welcome.

Regular paper:
Papers will be accepted based on their extended abstracts. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be avialable at the conference.

Important dates:
May 1, 2011 Deadline for extended abstracts, amximum length: 600 words.
May 23, 2011 Acceptance notification sent.
June 20, 2011 Deadline for complete paper, which should be no longer than 20 pages. Formatting guidelines can be found on www.lm2011.de

Competitive paper:
Submissions will go through the complete Business Research (BuR) review process. Accepted papers will appear In the BuR; the extended abstract will be printed in the conference proceedings.

Important date:
March 13, 2011 Deadline for the extended abstract, with a maximum length of 600 words, plus the complete paper. BuR submission guidelines and formatting apply: www.business-research.org
