The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Academic Body 230 "Healthy Lifestyle" hereby summon to the 5th INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (ENITED 2023) from November 8 to 10, 2023. This is a virtual event and a Call for Submissions: Papers, Prototypes, or Posters.
Interested participants may submit works related to disability that fall under any of the following Thematic Axes: ENGINEERING: Software, Mobile technology, Bioengineering, Accessibility and mobility, Home automation, Assistive technology. HEALTH SCIENCES: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nutrition, Psychology, Medical and/or Surgical Treatments. HUMAN RIGHTS: School, work, legal, sports and recreational support, art and culture. Inclusion in society, equal opportunities. Sending proposals: Authors can submit their proposal (up to three works per author) through the system at https://encuentroenited.org/2023/ by October 10, 2023 (extension). Submissions should include a summary (either in Spanish or English) that covers: Title of the work (Up to 15 words): It should be in uppercase, bold, and centered. Use accents where necessary. Data area: List of authors (up to 6), centered. Each author should be followed by their email in parentheses. Institution(s) of affiliation should be centered. Thematic Axis (choose one: Engineering/Health/Human Rights) and Modality (choose one: Presentation/Poster/Hardware Prototype/Software Prototype) should be centered. For example: Health – Presentation Keywords: Between 3 and 5 words. Summary: Should be between 250 and 500 words (excluding the data area), justified text. It should cover Introduction, objectives, method, results, and either partial or final conclusions. If submitting an essay, it should include sections for introduction, development, and conclusions. Prototypes fall under the Engineering axis and should include an image or screenshot in the summary. The document should be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1.5 line spacing and 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Avoid headers, footers, logos, or watermarks. Registration: Those wishing to present at the Meeting should first register as speakers through the form available at https://encuentroenited.org/2023/ponencias. After logging in, you can upload your summary. Only one author should upload the abstract, but all authors should be registered to receive notifications and be included in the work's record. Acceptance notice: The works will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. Accepted authors will be notified via email by October 12, 2023. In certain cases, the Committee might suggest presenting a work as a poster instead of an oral paper. Formal registration: All authors with accepted abstracts must pay the speaker fee by October 20, 2023. This is mandatory for inclusion in the event program. Note: Each author must pay for every presentation they participate in. Attendance: The event is freely accessible through digital platforms. Non-speakers should register as attendees. If an attendance certificate is required, a fee applies. Payment: In the Congress registration system, you'll find a link to the payment system of Universidad Michoacana, where you can generate your payment order. Once generated, you'll receive a confirmation email. If an invoice is needed, request it at www.tesoreria.umich.mx. Recovery fees: General Speakers: $400 (22 US Dollar) – This includes both a speaker and attendance certificate. General Attendees: $150 (9 US Dollar) – This includes an attendance certificate. Free assistance through digital platforms: $0 Presentation details: The accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation during the event. At least one author should be present online on the designated day. Each presentation is allocated 10 minutes. After the presentations, a Q&A session will be held. Due to potential issues with virtual sessions, speakers should send a video of their presentation by October 27, 2023. More details are available at https://encuentroenited.org/2023/documentos. Posters: Authors with accepted posters should send an image of their poster by October 27, 2023, in jpg/jpeg format. Posters will be showcased on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/EnitedFIE. Awards: Special certificates will be awarded to the top two presentations in each thematic axis and the top two prototypes. The winners will be chosen by a jury of three judges. The award ceremony will be during the event's closing. Publication: Authors can submit their full papers or prototypes for inclusion in an electronic book with an ISBN. Submission guidelines are available at https://encuentroenited.org/2023/documentos. The deadline is November 30, 2023. Copyright: Submissions should be original and not previously presented or published elsewhere. Proper citations and authorizations are required where necessary. Privacy: By registering and submitting, you grant ENITED the right to use the provided information for event-related purposes. Videos or images might be shared on digital platforms. Certificates: A certificate will be issued for each presented work. Individual attendance certificates will be available for download from November 24, 2023.
