Call For Papers

Recent advances in network technologies led to increases in their performance which are not yet fully leveraged by big-data analytics applications. In URoute, we will focus on realigning these two areas, particularly addressing the increase in flexibility: big-data analytics applications may be further customized by employing
such technologies as Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).

URoute '16 will provide the international research community with a venue to discuss
and present the network requirements of big-data applications and to bring forward
new designs that meet such requirements. We encourage contributions
that analyze a large variety of big-data applications from a network perspective
to understand how they may take full advantage of modern networks.

* Novel algorithms and methods for unconventional Routing, Reliability and Fault tolerance
* Network virtualization and Software Defined Networks.
* Quality of Service (QoS), load balancing and traffic engineering.
* Routing for HPC applications
* Routing for Big Data applications
* Routing through Big Data Analytics
* Software defined infrastructures.
* Performance evaluation of unconventional routing techniques
* Manageability aspects of large-scale distributed systems and applications
* Bandwidth guarantees in data-centers; scheduling applications while taking bandwidth guarantees into account.

Nov 15, 2016: Camera-ready of accepted papers due.
Dec 5-8, 2016: Workshops

Submission Format

The complete submission must be no longer than five (5) pages not including references. We solicit original papers on the topics listed above but we also encourage the submission of shorter position papers that describe novel research directions and work that is in its formative stages, as well as papers about practical experiences and lessons learned from production systems.

Submissions should be typeset in two-column format in 10-point type on 12-point (single-spaced) leading, with the text block being no more than 6.5" wide by 9" deep. If you wish, you may use this LaTeX template and style file please use IEEEtran. The names of authors and their affiliations should be included on the first page of the submission.
