IADIS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE COLLABORATIVE TECHNOLOGIES 2010 Freiburg, Germany, 26 ñ 28 July 2010 (http://www.collaborativetech-conf.org/) part of the IADIS Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems (MCCSIS 2010) Freiburg, Germany 26 ñ 31 July 2010 (http://www.mccsis.org) * Keynote Speaker (confirmed): Nikolaos Antonopoulos, Professor and Head of School at the University of Derby, UK * Conference background and goals The IADIS Collaborative Technologies conference is dedicated to the timely publication of completed and/or work in progress research related contributions to the concepts, theory, modeling, specification, implementation and evaluation of collaborative systems, technologies and their wider applications in the information society. The conference pays particular attention to the ëwiderí dimension as a means to diversify it and broaden the applicability and scope of the current body of knowledge in the area of applied collaborative systems and technologies. Thus, the conference covers both technical and non-technical aspects of the collaborative nature of todayís information society. Although its primarygoal is to provide an international forum for the dissemination of state-of-the-art practices and empirical research results in collaborative technologies, it also aims prompting future direction for the development of the information society community as a means of promoting and sustaining a network of excellence in the area. * Format of the Conference The conference will comprise of invited talks and oral presentations. The proceedings of the conference will be published in the form of a book and CD-ROM with ISBN, and will be available also in the IADIS Digital Library (accessible on-line). * Best Papers Selected authors of best papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to selected journals (i.e. IADIS International Journal on Computer Science and Information Systems - ISSN: 1646-3692) including journals from INDERSCIENCE Publishers. Best papers may be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies (IJDST) ISSN: 1947-3532. * Types of submissions Full and Short Papers, Reflection Papers, Posters/Demonstrations, Tutorials, Panels and Doctoral Consortium.
