The 1st International Workshop on Machine Intelligence and Learning
*Important Dates Paper due: April 15, 2017 Author Notification: April 22, 2017 Camera-ready due: May 1, 2017 Registration due: May 1, 2017 Workshop Date: July 4, 2017 *General Information As an emerging advance for the future technologies, machine intelligence and learning (MIL) recently has had unprecedented attentions from research communities and industry fields, as well as from the public. MIL is the study and technology to make computing machines have perception, cognition, understanding, and analysis ability which are similar with those of human, or even beyond human. Applied in the many fields of science, engineering, medicine, business, and education, MIL has been bringing breakthroughs combined with large-scale information and data. Such advances in MIL are based on the inventions of novel algorithms, exponentially improved computing powers, storages of a zetta-byte scale, and high-speed networks to share large-scale data. This workshop focuses on recent developments in machine intelligence and learning in theories as well as in applications of various fields. The topic of interest include, but not limited to: Artificial intelligence Machine learning Natural language processing Robotics and drones Autonomous vehicles Data science Statistical analytics Intelligent signal processing Biomedical informatics Fintech and other applications in management Climate informatics All papers must be submitted electronically, in PDF format, and uploaded on EDAS. The direct link for paper submission is https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=22905&track=84565. There are two options for the submissions, either a full paper or a short paper. We decided to allow the submission of short papers in order to accommodate the most recent research outcomes. The submissions should be formatted with single-spaced, double-column pages using at least 10 pt (or higher) size fonts on A4 or letter pages in IEEE style format. The maximum number of pages is 6 for full papers and 3 for short papers. Detailed formatting and submission instructions will be available on the conference web site (http://www.icufn.org). Submitted papers will be reviewed by the workshop Program Committee and judged on originality, technical correctness, relevance, and quality of presentation. All accepted papers will appear in the IEEE Xplore Digital library and will be indexed by SCOPUS and EI Compendex only if at least one of the authors registers at the full registration rate and attends to present the paper. Also, extended versions of selected papers will be published in the following international journals (SCIE-indexed) as a special section for the ICUFN 2017. – Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing (SCIE) – Wireless Personal Communications (SCIE) – International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks (SCIE) – Mobile Information System (SCIE) – Sensors (SCIE) – INFORMATION Journal (Scopus) – International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications (Scopus) – ICT Express – Recent Advances on Communications and Networking Technology *Technical Program Committee Co-Chairs: Junhee Seok (Korea University, Korea) Sungwon Han (Korea University, Korea) *Technical Program Committee Members: Yeong Seon Kang (University of Seoul, Korea) Byoung Du Kim (Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand) Hyungsik Kim (Qraft Technologies, Korea) Hyun Kim (Hyundai Elevator, Korea) Sejoon Lim (Kookmin University, Korea) Jong Won Shin (GIST, Korea) |
