It's been the fastest-growing major economy, shining brightly amidst global economic challenges. Expected to surpass Germany and Japan, India aims to become the third-largest economy by 2030. To reach its ambitious $10 trillion economy goal, India must focus on resilient infrastructure, inclusive sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation. This pivotal decade will shape India's future and set an example for other developing nations in a post-pandemic, climate-challenged world. The Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan (Self-Reliant India) campaign, launched in 2020, aims to build a stronger economy that can compete globally with five pillars: Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant Demography, and Demand. India celebrated its 75th Independence Anniversary in 2022, ushering in the 'Amrit Kaal,' a uniquely auspicious period according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the goal of becoming a "developed" economy by 2047. India's leadership role is evident as it hosts the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in 2023, with the theme "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (One Earth, One Family, One Future) emphasizing international cooperation, inclusive growth, digital transformation, and climate action. Key strengths, including high-value service exports, a growing digital ecosystem, a large workforce, renewable energy capacity, and a thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem, will be pivotal in India's transformation into a strong, secure, and prosperous nation, providing equal opportunities for all.
