GamiFIN will again be held in snowy and magical northern Finland!

GamiFIN 2024 conference welcomes paper submissions, posters, and doctoral consortium applications.

Accepted full and short papers will be sent for consideration for publication in CEUR Workshop Proceedings in the GamiFIN Conference volume. CEUR-WS.org is a free open-access publication service and recognized ISSN publication series, ISSN 1613-0073.

Gamification is a multi-faceted phenomenon that affects many domains of human life. Therefore, we welcome submissions related to this ludic transformation of reality under several domains and related (but not limited) to the following keywords:

- Education: e.g., Gamification in education, serious games, game-based learning, games & math
- Media: e.g., Esports, streaming, social media and gamification, gamification in journalism & media
- Commerce: e.g., Business models, free-to-play, gambling, gamification in marketing/advergaming
- Work: e.g., Organizational gamification, gameful work, gamification in leadership, playbour
- Technology: e.g., Virtual reality, augmented reality, internet of things, wearables, AI, machine learning, privacy, security
- Toys & play: e.g., Toy play, toy design/creation, toys in education, internet of toys, toyfication, roleplay
- Health: e.g., Quantified self, games & gamification for health, COVID-19, mental health

== Submission guidelines ==

- Paper submission guidelines:
Papers submitted to GamiFIN 2024 should have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 pages (excluding references).
All submissions will undergo a double-anonymous peer-review process. Therefore, the authors are required to remove any information that could give an indication of authorship.
At the conference, the authors of accepted papers will have approximately 15 minutes for their presentation, including the discussion.

- Poster submission guidelines:
A poster can be a short description of a smaller research contribution, work-in-progress project, student project, or results and allows you to gain valuable feedback from the experts in the field of gamification.
Please submit your poster short manuscript in PDF-format by January 11th, 2024.
The work presented has to be original, novel, well written, and scientifically ensure the validity of the presented results.
The posters or the initial submissions will not be included in the conference proceedings.

- Doctoral consortium submission guidelines:
We have developed the GamiFIN doctoral consortium to support and guide the doctoral students working on topics related to GamiFIN themes. The GamiFIN doctoral consortium is a place for doctoral students to present their work to a panel of leading scholars in the area of gamification and other accepted doctoral consortium students.
To participate in the Doctoral Consortium, please submit a summary of your work (submission details below) and your CV by January 11th 2024

Note:
Authors of accepted papers have the option to fast-track extended versions to journals such as Electronic Markets (papers that approach the topic from the perspective of the digital economy ), Internet Research (papers that approach the topic from the perspective of Internet – related work), or AIS Transactions on Human-Computer Interaction (papers that approach the topic from the perspective of human-computer interaction).
