This book covers various topics and trends regarding the advancements of maker education and the use of intelligent educational robots (IER), artificial intelligence, intelligent agents, and machine learning in P-12 education. It promotes students’ motivation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through adaptive, interactive, and personalised learning experiences capitalising on digital pedagogies, human-robot interaction, IER, and social robots (SR). The book's main aim is to offer an overview of recent research into the adoption, integration, advancements, and impact of IER on education in the context of maker education. The topics include applying various technologies and educational approaches for realising IER and enhancing maker education. It presents findings and discussion on applications, addresses open issues and challenges, offers solutions, and provides suggestions for future lines of research for achieving IER. This book assists researchers, practitioners, professionals, and academicians of various scientific domains in exploring and better comprehending the state-of-the-art maker education and IER, their advancements, impact, and future potentials and benefits in education. We welcome book chapter contributions centred (but not exclusively) on the following themes:
• Theory, design, and implementation of intelligent educational robots and maker education- focused learning environments. • Intelligent robots and maker education in teaching and learning to improve creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Implementation approaches, strategies, and lesson designs for adopting and introducing intelligent educational robots and maker education based on students’ needs within and outside of classrooms. • Technology-enhanced adaptive and personalised learning activities capitalising on intelligent educational robots and maker education to assist educators and students. • Inclusion and equity as a paradigm shift for intelligent educational robots and maker education approaches in Education.
