SCOPE
________________________________________________________________________________________ Research on Agents and Multi-Agent Systems has matured during the last decade and many effective applications of this technology are now deployed. PAAMS provides an international forum to present and discuss the latest scientific developments and their effective applications, to assess the impact of the approach, and to facilitate technology transfer. PAAMS started as a local initiative, but has since grown to become the international yearly platform to present, to discuss, and to disseminate the latest developments and the most important outcomes related to real-world applications. It provides a unique opportunity to bring multi-disciplinary experts, academics and practitioners together to exchange their experience in the development and deployment of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems. PAAMS intends to bring together researchers and developers from industry and the academic world to report on the latest scientific and technical advances on the application of multi-agent systems, to discuss and debate the major issues, and to showcase the latest systems using agent based technology. It will promote a forum for discussion on how agent-based techniques, methods, and tools help system designers to accomplish the mapping between available agent technology and application needs. Other stakeholders should be rewarded with a better understanding of the potential and challenges of the agent-oriented approach. info@paams.net TOPICS ________________________________________________________________________________________ Special Topic of the 2024 edition:"Digital Twins" Problems - Agent-based simulation and prediction - Distributed problem solving - Agent cooperation and negotiation - Agent societies and social networks - Real-time multi-agent systems - Human agent interaction, user interfaces - Adaptation, learning and personalization - Reputation, trust, privacy and security - Agent engineering and development tools - Evaluation, ethical and legal issues Domains - Information recovery and information systems - Knowledge management and data intensive systems - Intelligent control and manufacturing systems - Embodied agents and autonomous systems - Multi-robot systems and real world robotics - Internet softbots and web intelligence - Virtual agents, animation and games - Pervasive agents and ambient intelligence - E-learning and educational systems - User-centered applications and assisting agents PLENARY SPEAKERS ________________________________________________________________________________________ Mikel Diez Parra, Quantum Global Enablement Lead - IBM Research (Spain) Chee Kit LOOI, The Education University of Hong Kong (China) Martin Saska, Multi-robot Systems Group (Czech Republic) Jeffrey Alan Tomalka, Emory University (USA) Adriana Tomic, Boston University (USA) Nidal Nasser, Alfaisal University(Saudi Arabia) SPECIAL ISSUES ________________________________________________________________________________________ Authors of selected papers from PAAMS will be invited to submit an extended and improved version to special issue in different journals. ∎ Special issue IJIMAI - International Journal of Interactive Multimedia and Artificial Intelligence JCR (2022): 3.6 (Q3) ∎ Special issue "Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing Technologies for Smart Cities and Rural Areas: Sensing and Information Management Technologies" MDPI Sensors Journal JCR (2022): 3.9 (Q1) ∎ Special issue "Blockchain Applications in the Metaverse for Smart Cities" MDPI Smart Cities Journal, JCR (2022): 6.4 (Q1) ∎ Special issue "Advanced Architectures for Hybrid Edge Analytics Models on Adaptive Smart Areas" MDPI Electronics Journal JCR (2022): 2.9 (Q2) ∎ Special Issue on the Journal Future Internet: “Deep Learning in Recommender Systems” published in MDPI Future Internet Journal JCR (2022): 3.4 ∎ Special Issue on the Journal Future Internet: “Security in the Internet of Things (IoT)”” published in MDPI Future Internet Journal, JCR (2022): 3.4 ∎ Special issue "Advancements in Practical Applications of Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Digital Twins" MDPI Systems Journal, JCR (2022): 1.9 (Q2) ∎ Special issue ADCAIJ - Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal JCR (2022): 1.4, JCI (2022): 0.09 (Q4) LIST OF WORKSHOPS IN PAAMS 2024 ________________________________________________________________________________________ ∘ ASSIA - Workshop on Adaptive Smart areaS and Intelligent Agents ∘ C2 - Workshop on Character Computing ∘ CogniBlend - Workshop on Cognitive Assistants and Data Fusion ∘ DeRePAI - Workshop on Decision Support, Recommendation, and Persuasion in Artificial Intelligence ∘ IASE - Workshop on Intelligent Agents in Science and Engineering ∘ MASES - Workshop on Modelling and Simulation of Modern Energy Markets and Future Power Systems ∘ Twin4TrainDigital - Twinning for training purposes in Industry 4.0 COMMITTEES ________________________________________________________________________________________ PROGRAM COMMITTEE Philippe Mathieu, University of Lille (France) ORGANISING COMMITTEE CHAIRS Juan Manuel Corchado, University of Salamanca (Spain) Fernando De la Prieta, University of Salamanca (Spain) WORKSHOP CHAIR Alfonso González-Briones, University of Salamanca (Spain) ADVISORY BOARD Bo An, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) Paul Davidsson, Malmö University (Sweden) Keith Decker, University of Delaware (USA) Yves Demazeau, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (France) Frank Dignum, Umeå University (Sweden) Tom Holvoet, KU Leuven (Belgium) Toru Ishida, Kyoto University (Japan) Takayuki Ito, Kyoto University (Japan) Eric Matson, Purdue University (United States) Jörg P. Demonstrations are intended to exhibit practical applications of multi-agent systems and will be a very useful tool in order to complement the regular program with practical examples of particular interest in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Contributions and publication The author/s must write a paper formatted according to the LNCS-LNAI template, with a maximum length of 6 pages and following the next structure: Introduction, Main purpose, Demonstration, Conclusions and References. All accepted demonstrations will be included in PAAMS Proceedings as a paper, published in Springer. During PAAMS, authors will have to show their demonstrations. The organization will provide a printed poster of the article, WIFI connection and space on a shared table with other competitors. The best demo paper in PAAMS'24 will be awarded with 1.000€ More information: https://paams.net/tracks/demonstrations PUBLICATION ________________________________________________________________________________________ Accepted papers will be included in PAAMS Proceedings, published by Springer. At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings.
