Dear Colleagues,

I kindly invite you to contribute with original scientific papers at IWSSS 2025, the 13th edition of the International Workshop on Systems Safety & Security, which will take place between 26-27 June 2025, in conjunction with the ECAI 2025 conference at Valahia University, in Targoviste, Romania.

The IWSSS workshop is dedicated to one of the most pressing issues in our global political, military, and economic context: the security and safety of critical infrastructures. These infrastructures, including energy production and distribution, water and wastewater management, defense, healthcare providers, transportation systems, and communications, are the backbone of our society. The presented papers delve into advanced topics, from formal methods for security to applied artificial intelligence techniques for increasing cyber resilience, with a special focus on systems safety.

The papers in previous editions were high-quality works published in IEEE Xplore. Papers from the 2013-2020 editions were indexed by Clarivate Analytics Web of Science (ISI), and papers from the 2021-2024 editions are indexed in SCOPUS.

Workshop topics include, but are not limited to:

- Data security and privacy in critical systems;
- Physical and logical access control;

- Malware detection, modeling, and analysis methods;

- Assets tracking, monitoring, and surveillance solutions;
- Advanced encryption techniques;
- Blockchain applications in systems security.
