# Call for Papers
We invite submissions to the COLM 2025 Workshop on AI Agents: Capabilities and Safety, to be held in Montreal, Canada during the COLM 2025 conference (October 7-10, 2025). The 1st Workshop on AI Agents offers a comprehensive overview of AI agents, investigating their capabilities—including reasoning and planning, interaction and embodiment, and real-world applications—as well as critical safety challenges related to reliability, ethics, and human-agent interaction. We welcome contributions on a wide range of topics related to AI agents, including but not limited to: * Learning and Inference Algorithms / Architectures * Interfaces and Embodiment * Orchestration and Control * Safety and Societal Implications * Human-Agent Interaction, Alignment, and Personalization * Applications for Science and Real-World Use * Benchmarking and Evaluation We invite both theoretical and empirical work from a range of disciplines, and encourage interdisciplinary submissions that bridge machine learning, robotics, NLP, HCI, ethics, and cognitive science. # Important Dates * Paper Submissions Deadline: June 23rd, 2025 (Anywhere on Earth) * Notification of Acceptance: July 24th, 2025 (Anywhere on Earth) * Camera-Ready Deadline: August 7th, 2025 (Anywhere on Earth) * Workshop Date: October 10th, 2025 # Submission Guideline We encourage submissions (up to 9 pages) formatted with the COLM guidelines. The review will be double-blind (two-way anonymized review). Please do not include any self-identifying information in the submission. We do not have any restrictions around posting unanonymized pre-prints online as long as the submissions adhere to our parallel submission policy and the submitted draft is anonymized.
