We are inviting you to submit a book chapter in the forthcoming Handbook on Global Leadership and Change: Advancing Cultural Intelligence in Complex Contexts
Book Description: Global Leadership and Change: Advancing Cultural Intelligence in Complex Contexts explores the evolving demands of leadership in a complex, interconnected world, emphasizing the role of cultural intelligence (CQ) as a strategic capability. This interdisciplinary volume brings together theoretical frameworks, empirical research, and applied insights to examine how leaders navigate cultural diversity, drive change across global contexts, and foster effective interpersonal and team dynamics. Chapters will span foundational concepts, sector-specific applications, leadership development tools, and emerging trends shaping the future of global leadership. Designed for scholars, practitioners, and students, this book serves as a timely and practical resource for advancing culturally intelligent leadership in diverse professional settings. Chapter Structure: Book chapters will range from 5,000 to 15,000 words, including references in APA 7th style. Tables and figures will not be included in the word count. Book chapters can use the following methodology: qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research designs. Empirical, conceptual, theoretical, and literature reviews can be submitted for book chapters. This book proposal is being submitted exclusively to Palgrave Publishing. Studies must have received Institutional Review Board approval from respective institution(s). Proposal submissions should include: • The purpose/goals of the proposed chapter • A description of methodologies, data sources, data analysis, and preliminary findings, and/or perspectives Please briefly outline who will benefit from your research and how, including how professionals’ and scholars’ understanding of the field will advance, how the effectiveness of work in this area will improve, and/or how your work will facilitate research going forward. Abstract guide: Abstract should be 300-500 words and should include the following: Clarity on how the proposed chapters align with the book description Research Question to be addressed Overview of the Literature to be used Methodology Approximate 250-word author biography for each author Author(s) names, title/position, university, or affiliations, and contact information Chapter length selection: 5000 word; 10,000 word; 15,000 word; Upon acceptance and submission of the final manuscript, you will also need to submit your IRB approval letter. Submission guidelines: Single Spaced 7th edition APA formatting No secondary/tertiary sources It should not be written in the first person. Important Submission Dates: Proposals (Abstracts no more than 200 words) Deadline: July 30, 2025 Proposal Acceptance Notification Deadline: August 30, 2025 Full Chapter Submission Deadline: November 30, 2025 Review and Feedback to Authors Deadline: February 1, 2026 Full Chapter Final Submission Deadline: March 19, 2026 Completed Chapters to Publishers Deadline: Summer 2026 Section Headings: Section headings will be used to guide the content of the handbook.
