The International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL), which started in Hong Kong in 1998 and over the years traveled many countries in the Asia-Pacific region, is a major digital library conference. Along with JCDL and TPDL, ICADL is held annually as one of the three top venues for connecting digital library, computer science, and library and information science communities. This year, ICADL 2025 will be hosted by the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS). The conference will take place from December 3rd to 5th, 2025, at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Metro Manila, Philippines as an in-person event at the UP BGC campus.

ICADL 2025 will be co-located with the 12th Asia-Pacific Conference on Library Information Education and Practice (A-LIEP 2025; https://a-liep.org) and the annual meeting of Asia-Pacific chapter of iSchools (AP-iSchools; https://ischools.org/) under a collective title “2025 International Forum on Data, Information, and Knowledge for Sustainable and Ethical Societies” (IFDIK 2025). ICADL 2025 will provide an excellent international forum for researchers from not only Asia-Pacific regions but also all over the world to meet people with different backgrounds but common research interests to exchange their cutting-edge knowledge, experience and practices in various relevant issues in digital libraries, Library and Information Science (LIS), and other related fields.

"Intelligence and Equity: Shaping the Future of Knowledge"

In an era of rapid technological advancements and evolving knowledge ecosystems, the interplay between intelligence and equity has become more critical than ever. As artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and open knowledge initiatives continue to redefine information access and organization, it is imperative to ensure that these developments remain ethical, inclusive, and user-centered. This conference seeks to explore how intelligent technologies, knowledge infrastructures, and equitable policies can drive innovation while addressing the challenges of accessibility, interoperability, and trust in knowledge environments. We invite scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute insights, research, and solutions that foster the responsible growth of knowledge systems in an increasingly digital world.
