Social ethics is one of the fundamental elements that shape a society’s value system, norms, and the relationship between the individual and society. Throughout history, Eastern and Western societies have developed unique understandings of ethics within the framework of distinct intellectual traditions, religious references, and socio-economic dynamics. In this context, the vast intellectual legacy spanning from Aristotle to Immanuel Kant, and from al-Ghazali to Confucius, forms the foundation of discussions on social ethics.
This edited volume, currently being prepared by TESAM Publications, aims to examine the theoretical foundations, historical development, and contemporary transformations of social ethics in Eastern and Western societies from a comparative perspective. The work seeks both to contribute to the academic literature and to establish a platform for interdisciplinary discussion.
