This conference addresses key challenges in education research, policy evaluation, and learning outcomes, with a strong focus on evidence-based approaches and large-scale data analysis. Topics include education policy evaluation (RCTs, quasi-experimental methods, counterfactual approaches), school effectiveness, teachers and principals, and student achievement and non-cognitive skills.
The programme also covers international large-scale assessments (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICCS), educational inequalities and poverty, data literacy and data use in schools, learning analytics, and the role of administrative and longitudinal data (including INVALSI data). Additional themes include digital competence, generative AI in education, school-to-university transitions, labour market outcomes, and inclusive and equitable education systems.
Empirical and methodological contributions in education economics, sociology of education, and quantitative methods are particularly encouraged.
