IEEE DependSys-2026 is part of a well-established conference series that provides a premier forum for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present and exchange new ideas, techniques, and solutions related to dependability in sensor, cloud, and big data systems and applications. With the rapid advancement of the Information Age, massive volumes of data are generated daily from sensors, personal archives, social networks, the Internet of Things, enterprises, and the Internet in diverse scales and formats. These developments pose significant challenges to the dependability of modern computing systems. Over time, such systems often tend to become inert, fragile, and vulnerable, making the improvement of dependability increasingly critical.
The conference aims to bring together individuals, academics, practitioners, and organizations involved in the design, development, and deployment of dependable computing systems. Future systems must address the dependability gap under a wide range of conditions and challenges. The conference will emphasize key properties of dependable systems, including continuity, performance efficiency, real-time responsiveness, anomaly detection, resistance to corruption, prevention of catastrophic failures, protection against privacy intrusions, as well as reliability, availability, sustainability, adaptability, heterogeneity, security, and safety. IEEE DependSys-2026 will be held in Luoyang, China, a historic city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and as one of the ancient capitals of China. The city features world-famous landmarks such as the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple, offering an inspiring environment that blends tradition with modern innovation. Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to DependSys-2026. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's scope and quality requirements. Authors of selected best papers will be invited to extend their work for special issues of prestigious journals planned in conjunction with the conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Track 1: Dependability and Security Fundamentals and Technologies Concepts, theories, and methodologies Dependability of sensors and networks Dependability issues in cloud/fog/edge computing Security and privacy Security and privacy in cloud/fog/edge AI for dependability and security Big data foundations and management Dependable IoT supporting technologies Track 2: Dependable and Secure Systems Dependable sensor systems Dependability issues in distributed systems Safety and security in distributed systems Dependability in big data systems Dependability in automotive systems Blockchain-based systems Software system security Dependability and security of large language models (LLMs) Track 3: Dependable and Secure Applications Sensor and robotic applications Big data applications Distributed computing on embedded devices Privacy in mobile and wireless communications Cloud/fog/edge applications IoT, CPS, and industrial applications LLM-enabled applications Agent-based and multi-agent systems Track 4: Dependability and Security Measures and Assessments Metrics and measures for safety, trust, and reliability Levels, assessment criteria, and standards Dependability measurement and modeling Dependability evaluation Software reliability and verification Hardware reliability and verification Evaluation methods, tools, and frameworks LLM-assisted dependability evaluation Paper Submission All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference submission website in PDF format (https://edas.info/N35262). Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not exceed 8 pages in IEEE Computer Society proceedings format (or up to 10 pages with a page over length charge if accepted), including tables, figures, references, and appendices. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation, assessed by at least three reviewers. All submitted papers will be judged through single-blind reviews. Paper Publication Papers accepted by IEEE DependSys 2026 conference will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the conference; otherwise, the paper will not be included in the proceedings. All accepted papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore and EI. Distinguished papers presented at the conference, after further revision, will be invited for submission to a special issue. |
