The 1st International Conference on Applications of Intelligent Systems, APPIS 2018, with tutorials will be held on 8-12 January 2018 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
The main conference will be on 10-12 January, the tutorials will be on 8, 9 and 13 January.
APPIS 2018 is organized by the University of Groningen and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

APPIS 2018 aims at bringing together scientists who develop or apply intelligent systems, machine learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and related methods.
The program of APPIS includes a workshop on Cognitive Computing in Medicine, COCOMED 2018.
APPIS 2018 welcomes (but is not limited to) contributions related to the following topics:

Paper submission

Extended abstract papers, of 2 to 4 pages (including references), should be submitted electronically through APPIS 2018 web site in pdf format and should conform to the conference template. Find here more information on the conference template.

Each accepted paper should be presented by one of the authors and accompanied by at least one full registration fee payment, to guarantee publication in the proceedings.

We are in the process of signing an agreement with IOS Press to publish post-conference proceedings in the series Frontiers in AI and Applications (FAIA).
Full papers are due by 1st April 2018. Full papers that are positively reviewed by the members of the International Program Committee will be published in the proceedings.

Registration fee

The registration fee includes conference materials, conference dinner, welcome reception and daily coffee breaks.
The prices are:

Early registration: 300 Euro
Late registration: 375 Euro

The tutorials have separate registration fee of 40 Euro per tutorial.
