AOSD 2011: Perspectives on Modularity 10th International Conference on Aspect-Oriented Software Development http://aosd.net/2011 http://twitter.com/aosd2011 March 21st - 25th, 2011, Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco, Brazil Supported by ACM SIGSOFT & SIGPLAN (pending) **** Last Call for Tutorials **** ** Important Dates ** Tutorial proposals due: Monday, November 1st, 2010, 23:59 (Samoan) Notification: December 15th, 2010 Tutorials: March 21st – 22nd, 2011 The AOSD.11 Organizing Committee invites proposals for tutorials to be held in conjunction with the AOSD.11 conference. We seek to offer a high-quality tutorial program covering the state of the art on advanced modularization paradigms and techniques, which are not limited to aspects. We emphasize advanced separation of concerns and software modularity for extensibility, flexibility, and adaptability, with topics of interest for participants with intermediate to advanced knowledge of the subject. Tutorials should address advanced techniques, applications, and emerging opportunities in advanced software modularization techniques and related areas. Each submission will be evaluated according to the value and relevance of its topic to conference attendees, the expertise and experience of the presenters, and the completeness and overall quality of the tutorial proposal. Tutorial proposals should be for a half-day, which is 3 hours excluding breaks. For topics that do not fit well into a half-day format we invite proposals for combined half-day tutorials where a participant can choose to join for only the first half or both halves. ** Topics ** Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * Software engineering, such as requirement engineering, analysis and design modeling, domain engineering, software architectures, evaluation and metrics, modular Reasoning, patterns. * Programming language, such as compilation and interpretation, verification and static program analysis, formal languages and calculi, execution environments & dynamic weaving, dynamic and scripting languages, domain-specific languages. * Related paradigms, such as context-orientation, model-driven development, feature-orientation, generative programming, software product lines, traits, meta-programming and reflection, contracts and components. ** Submission Requirements ** A tutorial proposal should contain the following information: 1. About each Author: * Name * Contact information (affiliation, job title, postal address, email address, URL, phone number, and fax number) * Brief biography (100–150 words) * Photograph (80x100 px) * Summary of teaching experience * Indication of primary contact 2. About the Tutorial: * Title * Abstract (200–300 words suitable for use in publicity material) * Expected audience (Technical experts, managers, users or others) * Level of the tutorial (intermediate or advanced) * Prerequisites for participants (background, knowledge and/or skills) * Description (1000–3000 words describing the topic, why it is important, educational goals, and a detailed outline including a syllabus and time schedule) * Previous venues at which this tutorial has been presented, number of participants and any rating information received * Required equipment for presentation * Required equipment for participants (for hands-on sessions) ** Submission Guidelines ** Proposals must be submitted in PDF format. Tutorial materials such as slides and handouts should be included if available to show depth and maturity of the tutorial, but are not required for submission. ** Submission Deadlines ** Tutorial proposals must be sent via email to the AOSD.11 Tutorial Chair at tutorials@aosd.net, and must be received no later than Monday, Nov. 1st, 2010. Early submissions allow us to provide feedback that can improve the final proposal. Notifications to submitters will be made no later than Dec. 15th, 2010. Tutorial presenters should be prepared to submit completed course materials to the Tutorial Chair by March 21st. ** Contact ** For additional information, clarifications, questions, or special requirements, please contact the AOSD.11 Tutorial Chair, Thais Batista and Yuanfang Cai (tutorials@aosd.net). |
