The Organising Committee of the inaugural South African Forum for Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR2019) invites the submission of three types of research papers for presentation at the conference, to be held in Cape Town, from 3-6 December 2019.
1) Full papers that will undergo a detailed peer-reviewing process, complying with the requirements of the South African DHET research output policy. Authors of papers that are not accepted as regular papers may be asked to submit a 2-page abstract as work in progress (see point 3 below). 2) Extended abstracts of papers accepted, under review, or to be submitted to some other conference or journal. Such papers will receive a light review, but will not comply with the requirements of the South African DHET research output policy. Only the abstract will appear in the proceedings in case of acceptance. 3) Extended abstracts of work in progress. We invite contributions on all aspects of Artificial Intelligence, including but not limited to: Applications of AI Ethics and AI Knowledge representation Machine learning Other topics in AI Authors of papers and extended abstracts received by 15 September will receive a notification by 15 October to assist authors whose travel arrangements depend on paper acceptance. Authors of papers and extended abstracts submitted by 15 October will receive a notification by 11 November. |
