Call For Papers

The Track on Enterprise Information Systems and Sustainable Digital Operations invites submissions for the AIS-affiliated International Conference on Information Resources Management (Conf-IRM 2026), which will take place May 25–27, 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia. This track focuses on the role of enterprise information systems in advancing sustainable, transparent, and responsible digital operations in contemporary organizations.

Track Description:
Enterprises are under increasing pressure to align their digital transformation efforts with sustainability goals and regulatory frameworks such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Enterprise Information Systems play a central role in enabling organizations to co-construct, measure, report, and continuously enhance the sustainability performance of their operations. At the same time, emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and digital twins are reshaping how enterprises manage resources, optimize supply chains, and ensure transparency and resilience across digital operations.

This track invites conceptual, empirical, and design-oriented contributions that explore how enterprise information systems can drive sustainable value creation. We particularly welcome research addressing the intersection of digital transformation, operational excellence, and sustainability, considering economic, environmental, and social dimensions.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Sustainable enterprise system design, architecture, and governance
- Integration of sustainability metrics into ERP, SCM, and CRM systems
- Data-driven sustainability management and analytics dashboards
- Digital twins and simulation models for sustainable operations
- AI and automation for sustainable business processes
- Sustainable IT operations, cloud architectures, and green data centers
- Enterprise systems for CSRD and ESG reporting
- Decision support systems for balancing efficiency and sustainability
- Sustainable business process management and process mining
- Competence development and education for sustainable digital operations
- Organizational transformation and change management toward sustainable EIS adoption
- Circular economy and resource efficiency enabled by enterprise systems
- Inter-organizational collaboration for sustainability
- Governance frameworks and ethical considerations in sustainable digital ecosystems
- Emerging dimensions, related phenomena, and interdisciplinary perspectives that shape the future of sustainable enterprise information systems
