Cloud computing promises a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. The cloud model implies rapid elasticity, greater flexibility and reduced overheads for the end-user, on demand services and a service-oriented architecture. Cloud services are currently among the top-ranked high growth areas in Computing and seeing an acceleration in enterprise adoption with the worldwide market predicted to reach more than $140b in 2014. New trends continue to emerge (e.g. Amazon EC2 spot instances), while issues such as security and privacy continue to challenge user adoption.
This workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners working on all aspects of cloud services and systems, to share their experiences, exchange new ideas as well as to identify key emerging topics and define future directions. Call for Papers Research papers are invited on all aspects of Cloud Services and Systems, including but not limited to the following: Cloud Service Matchmaking, Selection, Mediation and Brokering Security and Privacy Issues Cloud Federation and Hybrid Clouds Social Computing in the Cloud Big Data Management and Analytics Mobile Computing in the Cloud New Cloud Service Models Business Process and Workflow Management in Clouds Cloud Service Provisioning, Orchestration, and Choreography Interoperability and portability across cloud platforms Economic and Business models for Cloud Issues in User Adoption Demos, Case Studies and Real-world Applications Applications to E-business, E-science, E-governance, Pervasive computing, Web X.0 Work-in-progress, industry applications/experiences and position papers are also welcome.
