Call for Paper **************** IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC) Las Vegas, NV, USA, January 09-12, 2016 http://ccnc2016.ieee-ccnc.org/ In conjunction with the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Special Session on Indoor Positioning Systems: from research prototype to real-world deployment Aims and Scope: The Indoor Positioning System (IPS) has attracted much intention in recent years because it facilitates location-based applications (LBA) indoors even without GPS signals. A large number of IPS systems have been proposed by both academia and industry, and some solutions are on the market too. However, a large-scale deployment of such IPS solutions is not available yet. This special session will feature the latest work that addresses the gap between research prototype and real-world deployment of indoor positioning systems. The contributions requested include but are not limited to: - Deployment Challenges of IPS solutions based on radio waves - Deployment Challenges of IPS solutions based on magnetic fields - Deployment Challenges of IPS solutions based on acoustic signals - Deployment Challenges of IPS solutions based on other sensory information - Measurement of real-world IPS deployment - Performance analysis of IPS solutions in different indoor environments - Real-world IPS applications We encourage submissions of high-quality technical papers reporting original research that has not been previously published, and is not currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. The special session papers will be treated the same as the main technical track papers in terms of formatting, reviewing, quality control, inclusion into proceedings, author registration and attendance. Important Dates: Technical papers due: July 10, 2015 Acceptance notification: September 4, 2015 Final camera ready: November 2, 2015 Organizers: Ling-Jyh Chen, Academia Sinica, Taiwan Wei-Shinn Ku, Auburn University, USA |
