DET 2013 CALL FOR PAPERS
2013 International Workshop on Distance Education Technologies in conjunction with The 19th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems Organized by Knowledge Systems Institute, U.S.A. Brighton, United Kingdom August 8 to 10, 2013 (URL: http://www.ksi.edu/seke/dms13.html) SCOPE DET 2013 focuses on creative solutions on distance education. It combines several advanced topics on design, implementation, and applications of E-learning systems. Submissions may cover novel approaches on distance learning tools, communication mechanisms, distance learning and culture, new educational technologies, distance learning, serious game, simulation, and the arts, and so on. Our special attention will be devoted to the following themes: Virtual Environments for Distance Learning Mobile and Social Learning Cloud service empowered m-learning. This workshop is being held in conjunction with 19th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems (DMS 2013) http://www.ksi.edu/seke/dms13.html Presenters of selected papers from DET 2013 will be invited to submit an extended article to a special issue of International Journal of Distance Education Technologies (IJDET) for publication. Electronic submissions are encouraged through the following URL: http://conf.ksi.edu/dms2013/submit/SubmitPaper.php (submission site will be open Jan 1, 2013). Manuscript must include a 200-word abstract and no more than 6 pages of IEEE double column text (include figures and references). All submissions must not be published or under consideration for publication in a journal or in a conference with proceedings. Papers will be evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness and clarify of exposition. Depending upon the results of evaluation a paper may be accepted as regular paper (6 pages), short paper (4 pages) or poster (poster presentation only).
