Call For Papers
The call for papers for GISRUK2012 is now open. Authors are invited to submit 1500-word short papers plus 100-word summaries using the template provided. The closing date for submissions is 25th November 2011. We welcome papers covering all aspects of theoretical and applied GIS research, particularly those within the following themes: Environmental Geoinformatics Open-Source GI Web2.0 Qualitative GIS Spatial Ecology Health Emergency Response Landscape Visualisation Geospatial Semantics Location-Based Services Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Conference proceedings including all papers accepted for oral and poster presentation will be made available as a free e-book (with ISBN) and as hardcopy for purchase via http://www.lulu.com Submitting a Paper Template for short papers The template for short papers, with the required formatting and additional submission information is available from the following link: Template in MSWord format Papers should be no more than 1500-words long, excluding biographical details and data in tables. Authors should also submit a 100-word summary of their paper which will be included in the printed conference programme. Uploading to EasyChair In order to submit a paper, you will need to set up an account on the conference management system EasyChair. A copy of your short 100-word summary should be copied into the ‘Abstract’ box together with the other details (title, authors, keywords etc) as required. Upload your short paper in the ‘Upload Paper’ section having first ensured that it conforms to the template guidelines. All submissions will be subject to peer review. Authors will be contacted in February 2012 once the outcomes of the process are known.
